FloShield™ consists of a sheath that fits over the laparoscope and a simple tubing set. FloShield™ is compatible with any 10mm laparoscope, available in 0, 30 and 45 degree configurations as well as standard and bariatric lengths. The tubing set connects to the regular insufflator tubing. FloShield™ integrates seamlessly with the laparoscope and a 12mm trocar. Surgeons may easily switch between different angled scopes during surgery using the quick-connect feature of the device. Development is currently in progress for the 5mm laparoscope.
In Development
FloShield PLUS: FloShield PLUS will incorporate a proprietary method to instantly flush debris from the lens should there be emergent bleeding that would typically require lens removal and time lost while blood accumulates.
FloShield Five: FloShield will soon be available for 5mm laparoscopes. This device will be especially well-suited to Singe Port Access surgery.
FloShield Thoracic: A version of FloShield specifically targeted to the unique needs of thoracic surgeons that do not use insufflation.
